Do you
feel the need to experience personal growth within a
structured community?
It is our intention to create and maintain a community
or network of people that will embrace and celebrate
life together.
To bring together like-minded people
who wants to be guided in life by values and principles.
People that are honest, reliable and truthful. We like
doing business with such people.
Life poses us with a question regarding the meaning and
purpose of life itself. We need to answer with an
appropriate response. Life presents us with problems,
we need to create solutions.
"Between stimulus and response , there is a space. In
that space lies our freedom and our power to choose our
response. In our response lies our growth and
happiness."
Unknown, as quoted by Alex Pattakos
We offer you the
opportunity to build relationships based on shared
values and trust, in a spirit of non-judgmental dialogue
and engagement, listening and learning together. Your
happiness, personal development and
spiritual growth is
our aim.
Suffering, loneliness and difficult choices are part of
life. Pain, guilt and death are constant companions.
Resorting to drugs and avoiding difficult choices or
decisions is not the answer.
But sometimes life and the
suffering it entails may become too much to handle
alone. We need each other and an effective support
system. We need to be guided in our decisions by
principles and values of truth, love and conscience.

There is only
one answer to each situation : the right one
|
This is
illustrated powerfully in the story of prisoner Number
119,104, who most of the time was digging and laying
tracks for railway lines while incarcerated in the
concentration camps.
He only counted because he had a
prison number. When he had the opportunity to escape
from prison, he had to make a very difficult decision:
to escape or to stay with his patients? When he finally
took the decision to stay with his patients , the
unhappy feeling left him and he gained an inward peace
that he never experienced before.
On many other
occasions he would experience this reward of
meaningfulness again after making the right choice.
He returned to the hut, sat down on the
+boards at his
countryman's feet and tried to comfort them, then he
chatted with the others, trying to quiet them in their
delirium.
The experiences of camp life show that man does have a
choice of action. There were always choices to be made.
Every day , every hour , offered the opportunity to make
a decision, a decision which determined whether you
would or would not submit to those powers which
threatened to rob you of your very self, your inner
freedom.
It is this spiritual freedom- which cannot be
taken away-that makes life meaningful and purposeful. It
entails the biggest reward that life can offer.
Viktor Frankl also demonstrated the importance and power
of making the right choices in a dramatic way on the
first evening in the concentration camp when he made
himself a firm promise: “ not to run into the wire” .
This was a phrase used in camp to describe the most
popular method of suicide. The thought of suicide was
entertained by nearly everyone in the horrible
conditions that they experienced. His firm resolve that
: “Life is worth living under all conditions and has
meaning regardless of the circumstances”, launched him
into his journey of suffering.
At that stage he still
did not know what was in store for him : His farther,
mother, brother, and his wife died in camps or were sent
to the gas ovens, so that excepting for his sister, his
entire family perished in these camps.
How could he-
every possession lost, every value destroyed, suffering
from hunger, cold and brutality, hourly expecting
extermination-how could he find life worth preserving?
